Instructions
Gather your supplies. | |
SMILE Step 1. Cut a 5 ft. piece of teal paracord. Pull out the inside of the paracord and replace with craft wire. For detailed instructions check out this tutorial!
Step 2. Hot glue each end closed.
Step 3. Form an “S” with a curled top.
Step 4. Loop the bottom of the “S” and wrap the paracord around to secure the “S” shape, as shown.
Step 5. Form an “M” and use jewelry pliers to pinch the bottoms tightly.
Step 6. For the “I”, cross the paracord over and create a small loop. Hot glue where the paracord crosses over.
Step 7. Create a larger loop for the “L” and hot glue at the intersection.
Step 8. Loop around to create an “E” and hot glue at the intersection.
Step 9. With the excess paracord create a small heart. Hot glue the end of the paracord to the end of the “E”, which will create an O shape. Push down in the middle to make a point and you have a heart!
LAUGH Step 1. Shape the cord into a large cursive “L”. Hot glue at the intersections.
Step 2. For the “A”, create a circle, hot glue at the intersections and leave a curved tail leading to the next letter.
Step 3. The “U” shape is easy, but don’t forget to pinch the top points with jewelry pliers.
Step 4. Create a circle coming from the “U” tail. then fold the end of the paracord down.
Step 5. Glue the circle to the tail of the “U”. Loop the cording around for the bottom of the “G” and hot glue at the intersection.
Step 6. Create a loop similar to the “L” from “SMILE”. Hot glue at the intersection.
Step 7. Fold the paracord up and into an arch. If there is excess cording you can add a small heart.
LOVE Step 1. Follow Step 1 from “LAUGH” to create the “L”. Make a circle shape coming from the “L” for the “O”.
Step 2. Hot glue at the overlapping points.
Step 3. Leave a small tail coming from the “O” to lead to a simple “V” and loop round to create an “E”. Hot glue at the intersection.
Step 4. Pinch the bottom of the “O” into a V-shape and push down the middle of the top of the “O” to make a heart.
LAST STEP FOR ALL Add a piece of 24g wire to the back of each word for hanging! |
