Wire Bead Maze

A wire bead maze is a great project for parents and kids to do together! The kids can use their imagination to form different obstacles for the beads and then play with their maze for hours!
Materials
- Silver Beading Wire 20 Gauge
- 25 Pack Assorted Paint Brushes
- Premium Paint Set, 24 pack
- Wood Beads Tub
- Hot Glue Gun ***May Require Adult Assistance
- Styrofoam Block 1 15/16" x 11 7/8" x 17 7/8"
- Scissors
- Wire Cutters
- Pencil
Instructions
Step 1. Gather your supplies. | |
Step 2. Pick out about 50 different wood beads. We chose 5 different shaped beads. Paint them all white. You may find that you may need to paint more than one coat. | |
Step 3. Split the beads into five groups, based on their shapes. Paint each group a different color. We did 2-3 coats of each color. | |
Step 4. Cut off both ends of a piece of paracord at your desired length. Pull out the white inside. | |
Step 5. Insert 20g craft wire into the paracord. | |
Step 6. Hot glue both ends of the paracord to secure the wire. | |
Step 7. Paint the styrofoam block black with Simply Spray®. | |
Step 8. In one corner, poke an 1″ deep hole into the styrofoam. | |
Step 9. Fill the hole with hot glue. | |
Step 10. Quickly place one end of the paracord into the hole. | |
Step 11. String on as many beads as you’d like! | |
Step 12. Repeat Steps 8-10 for the other end of the paracord. Shape the wire however you’d like! | |
Step 13. Repeat these steps to compete your bead maze, with different colored paracording and shapes! |
