- Clear Tape
Instructions
Step 1. Gather your supplies.
Step 2. Cut a large triangle from yellow construction paper for the parrot beak. Tape the beak to the Mask using the transparent tape. It’s okay for the tape to overlap the mask, as we will paint over the tape.
Step 3. Paint the mask with Acrylic Paint. Make sure to paint over the tape. To create a texture similar to feathers, apply the paint in short strokes, overlapping areas as you apply the paint. Let dry.
Step 4. Glue Feathers to the back of the mask. As the mask is a glossy plastic, we recommend using a strong glue, like hot glue, to adhere the feathers. Tip: This may require adult assistance.
Step 5.
We added the white Feathers between the colored Feathers to add a little more fluff to the mask. Once dry, you’ll be able to wear this mask an imitate a tropical parrot! |
