Tie Dye Heart Garland

Make a colorful banner to decorate the classroom or your home for Valentine’s Day!
Materials
- Friendship Thread Basic Colors
- Paint Dab Markers
- Coffee Filters
- Scissors
- Pen
Instructions
Step 1. Gather your supplies.

| Step 2.
Fold a coffee filter in half and draw half of a heart. |

| Step 3.
Cut along the half heart you drew and unfold. |

| Step 4.
Stamp a large red spot in the center of the heart using a red paint dab marker. |

| Step 5.
While the red paint is still wet, stamp on the edges and around the spot with a yellow paint dab marker. |

| Step 6.
Continue this process with the blue paint dab marker until the coffee filter heart is covered. |

| Step 7.
Make as many hearts as you’d like to hang. Punch a hole in the top center of all the hearts. |

| Step 8.
Pull a loop of black friendship thread through the hole of the heart, as shown. |

| Step 9.
Pull the heart through the loop. |

| Step 10.
Pull the two thread ends until the loop is a secure knot. Repeat steps 8-10, a few inches apart, until all of your hearts are hung on the string. |

On each end of the friendship thread create a loop so it is easy to hang. |
