Step 1. Gather your supplies.
May sure one end of the cardboard box is completely closed. On the other end of the box, tape 3 of the box flaps closed, leaving one flap open, as shown.
Turn the box, so that the open flap is up and glue the cardboard cylinder to the box, closest to the end of the box.
Cut 2” slits in the bottom of a cardboard tube and fold the pieces up, as shown.
Add glue to the slits of the cardboard tube and secure to the box, in front of the cylinder. This is the smoke stack of the train.
To make wheels, glue (3) bottle caps on the each side of the train, let the glue dry before proceeding to the next step.
Place your train on a piece of wax paper. Using red Simply Spray Project Paint, spray one even coat of paint on the train. Begin and end spraying off the project to prevent splatter. Let the paint dry approximately 30 minutes and repeat with one more coat of spray, if needed.
Glue (2) Skinny Sticks across the bottle caps on each side of the train.
To create the pilot (triangular shaped grill seen in the front of older trains). Glue (5) Craft Sticks and (1) Mini Stick as shown in the picture.
Glue the pilot to the flap on the front of the train.
Paint and decorate the train. Use the round dauber brush to add spots to the train, and glue Glitter Sticks around the smoke stack and the top of the train. Stuff some white poms into the smoke stack.
To finish the train, gently twist some white Fuzzy Sticks into the shape of smoke, and insert into the smoke stacks.
