Instructions
Step 1. Gather your supplies.
Step 2. Collect your packaging pieces to use as molds for the plaster. You can find plastic pieces on all sorts of packaged items, like toys and household goods.
Step 3. Mix your plaster. Gently pour the plaster into the molds. For tips on mixing plaster, click here.
Step 4. Let the plaster set for at least an hour before you attempt to remove the plaster shape from the plastic mold. You should allow the larger pieces to set longer. If you take the pieces out too soon, the plaster will be soft and might crack. When you are ready to remove a plaster piece from the mold, turn the mold over and the piece should gently slide out.
Step 5. Paint your piece, and let dry.
Step 6. Display your pieces! With smaller shapes add magnets to the back and make a creative refrigerator magnet! |
