Pom Animal Mother’s Day Cards

Craft up some cute 3D Mother’s Day cards with poms! Create a penguin family, a chickadee family and a flamingo family.

Step 1. Gather your supplies.

Cut a piece of card stock into 4 x 6 cards that fold.

Glue a medium black pom on top of a large white pom. Glue 2 small white poms to the side, as shown.

Paint beaks, wings and feet on each of the penguins.

Glue a medium yellow pom on top of a large yellow pom. Glue 3 small yellow poms below, as shown.

Paint beaks and feet on each of the chicks.

Glue 2 small pink poms and a large pink pom to the front of the card stock.

Paint the necks, beaks, heads and legs of the flamingos.

  • Momma & Her Babies: Nature is full of adorable baby animals — do your students know what each one is called? As a class, follow along with this video and learn tons of cute creature names! Which one is the class favorite?
  • Fuzzy Feelings: Explore your students’ sense of touch after gluing the poms onto the cardstock! Let your students gently move their hand across the card. Does it tickle or feel funny? Ask your students to describe what they feel!
