Paper Bag Sunflower

Practice fine motor skills and lacing while creating a festive fall craft!
Materials
- Watercolor Paint Palette
- Melty Beads Ultimate Kit
- Rainbow Poms Assorted Sizes, 100 pieces
- 2 Paper Lunch Bags
- Craft Glue or Hot Glue ***May Require Adult Assistance
- Scissors
- Pen
- 1/8" Hole Punch
Instructions
Step 1. Gather your supplies. | |
Step 2. Download, print and cut out the provided template on card stock. To download the template, simply click the “Template” button above. | |
Step 3. Cut open two lunch bags and remove the bottom. | |
Step 4. Trace and cut out 2 circles and 7 of each petal. | |
Step 5. Paint the petals with yellow watercolor. | |
Step 6. Line up the 2 circle cut outs and punch holes around the edge with about .5″ in between each hole. | |
Step 7. Tie a knot in the end of the yellow cording and lace through the first holes of each circle. | |
Step 8. Continue lacing around the circle until you have about 5 holes left. Be sure when lacing you do not pull too hard or miss any holes on either circle! | |
Step 9. Stuff poms into the circle, until it is about an 1.5″ thick. | |
Step 10. Finish lacing and tie a knot to secure. | |
Step 11. Spread hot glue or craft glue all over the top of the circle and cover it with brown and black melty beads. | |
Step 12. Once the middle is dry and all the melty beads are secure, flip it over and glue on the petals! |
