Paper Bag Popcorn Costume

Transform a plain paper grocery bag into an adorable Halloween costume! Super easy, super cute and super simple!
Materials
- 25 Pack Assorted Paint Brushes
- Natural Braiding Cord
- Green Glitter 16 oz.
- Gold Glitter Glue 1.8 oz.
- Acrylic Paint Jars, 24 Assorted colors
- Brown Paper Grocery Bag
- 8 Sheets of White Paper
- Masking Tape
- Decoupage Glue
- Hole Punch
- Ruler
- Scissors
- Pen
- Hot Glue ***May Require Adult Assistance
Instructions
Step 1. Gather your supplies.

| Step 2.
Cut out the bottom of the bag, but do not cut down the side! |

| Step 3.
If your bag is not plain on both sides, like ours, turn it inside out.
Flatten the bag and on each side, tape stripes about 1″ wide. |

| Step 4.
Paint red in between the tape and tear off the tape as soon as you’re finished. Repeat on both sides. |

| Step 5.
Spell out “POPCORN” diagonally on the front of the bag using decoupage glue. |

| Step 6.
Sprinkle glitter all over the letters until the are covered. |

| Step 7.
Outline each letter with gold glitter glue. |

| Step 8.
Punch a hole on each side, through the front and back of the bag. |

| Step 9.
Tie on natural cording as straps for the costume. |

| Step 10.
Cover your hands in yellow paint and crumple paper, so it looks like buttered popcorn. |

| Step 11.
Hot glue the “popcorn” around the front and back edges of the costume. |
