Instructions

Step 1. Gather your supplies.

Step 2.

Cut out the bottom of a brown lunch bag and spread the bag flat.

Step 3.

Fold the paper in half.

Step 4.

Fold in half two more times.

Step 5.

Unfold once and cut down the middle crease.

Step 6.

Cut along the remaining fold. You should have two piles of 4 pieces of paper.

Step 7.

Take one pile of four and fold them accordion style, along the shorter edge.

Step 8.

Pinch the middle and tie.

Step 9.

Cut the ends into a half circle.

Step 10.

Spread out one side at a time.

Step 11.

Pull apart the layers, one at a time. Pull gently and slowly to ensure the paper does not rip.

Step 12.

Repeat steps 10 & 11 on the other side.

Step 13.

Make 3 poms. Be sure that two are the same size and the last one is larger than the other two.

Step 14.

Thread pink hemp through the tie in the middle of the pom, long enough to be a necklace. Secure with a knot.

Tip: A needle may be helpful for this part!

Step 15.

Tie a triple knot on each side about 3″ away from the center pom.

Step 16.

String on three round wood beads and then tie a triple knot on the end of the beads to secure.

Step 17.

Thread on the two remaining poms to each side, about 3″ away from the beads. Tie a knot to secure.

Step 18.

Tie both ends of the cording together and wear your necklace!
