Instructions
Step 1. Gather your supplies.
Step 2. Fold your paper in half, then fold in half again, as shown.
Step 3. Unfold your paper to reveal 4 divided sections.
Step 4. In the top left section of your paper, draw your initials using a black oil pastel. Press the oil pastel hard to make the letters really dark.
Step 5. Next, draw some shapes around the letters, keeping your design within the top left section. We drew circles, even drawing half circles the edges and corner.
Step 6. Fold your paper over in half. Rub a craft stick over the folded paper, pressing hard over the section with your initials.
Step 7. Unfold the paper. You’ll see the initials have transferred to the bottom left section of the paper. The transferred initials will be upside down, seen as a reflection.
Step 8. The transferred design will appear lighter. Trace over the transferred design with the black oil pastel, pressing hard.
Step 9. Fold your paper in half, lengthwise. Rub your craft stick over the whole paper, pressing down hard.
Step 10. Unfold the paper. Your initials from the left side of the paper transferred to the right side filling up the paper. Notice how the quarter circle you drew in the corner became a complete circle in the middle of the paper. Trace over the transferred part with black oil pastel.
Step 11. Trace over the transferred part with black oil pastel.
Step 12. Finish your picture by coloring everything with the oil pastels. |
