Oil Pastel Suncatcher Art

Use oil pastels in a creative way to make a fabulous sun catcher for your window!
Materials
- Iridescent Glitter 4 oz.
- Iron ** May require adult assistance
- Wax paper
- Scissors
- White Paper
Instructions
Step 1. Gather your supplies. | |
Step 2. Draw a design on a piece of white paper. If desired, you can download and print our template to recreate the project shown. Click the “template” button under the picture of this project to download and print it. Roll out a long sheet of wax paper twice the size of your template and lay over the template, as shown. | |
Step 3. Using a black oil pastel, trace over the design, pressing hard. | |
Step 4. Remove the template and add other embellishments to your design. Color in your design, making sure to press hard with the oil pastels. | |
Step 5. Sprinkle your design with Iridescent Glitter. | |
Step 6. Fold the remaining wax paper in half, over your design. Have an adult iron over the design using low heat. The oil from the pastels will melt and make the wax paper stick together to seal your sun catcher. | |
