Every mom deserves the world, or at least the next best thing: Our “hearts” & crafts! From flowers to keepsakes and handmade cards — there are so many ways to show mom you care this Mother’s Day (and every day). Get inspired by some of our favorite art projects to make every maternal figure in your life feel special!

Bring Her Flowers

Happy Day Bouquet

A rainbow of color will brighten anyone’s day — incorporate them into a handmade craft stick flower bouquet for mom. Our CPI creator, Melanie East, used colorful cardstock, adhesive gemstones, and craft sticks to arrange the flowers perfectly.

Too Cute Tulip Straws

Hand out these adorable tulip straws at a Mother’s Day brunch or classroom celebration! This I Heart Crafty Things project shows how recycled materials (and a little bit of love) go a long way. Fold paper petals and stick them through a straw to create stems and you’ve got yourself a quick Mother’s Day craft!

Give Mom a Hand

Get siblings, nieces, nephews, or grandchildren to create handprints with finger paints, cut out each one and glue it onto green fuzzy sticks and dowels. Affix the bouquet to a canvas, personalize it, then share this very special handprint bouquet with a very special person!

Leave a Print on Her Heart

Sign, seal, & deliver a fingerprint flower bouquet this Mother’s Day! This craft is easy to ship in a care package or carry to grandma’s house — just follow along with Our Kid Things to get started (and have fun practicing fine motor skills!) while finger painting this craft!

Shower Her with Gifts

Handmade with Love

For the mom who has everything she needs, create outside the box this year! Design a one-of-a-kind earring holder in all her favorite colors with craft sticks. This holder is the perfect size to place by her nightstand or on her bathroom vanity for easy access to her go-to accessories.

Poetry from the Heart

Create an acrostic describing what makes the mother figure in your life so special. Use paint, glitter foam stickers, and canvas to make the written words come to life!

Best of the Batch

Everyone knows mom’s secret ingredient is love, but what else goes into her homemade dishes? Create a craft stick recipe holder for her to keep her best meals on the ready — then check out the Teacher’s Corner for an extra special treat to include!

To the Moon & Back

Reach for the stars and give mom a personalized gift she’ll never forget! Add an image or silhouette on the craft stick ladder and embellish the canvas with glitter stars & a silver foam moon. It’s the perfect gift to give to someone you love to infinity & beyond!

She’s Always #1

Find your Creative Roots™ and show mom she’s #1 in your heart! Decorate the ceramic stone in all her favorite colors, add a personalized phrase like “I love you,” and place it in her favorite gardening spot or indoor space so she’ll always have a piece of you there!

It’s All in the Cards

Just Her Cup of Tea

For the moms who love their afternoon tea! Upcycle egg cartons into colorfully painted teacups and glue them onto decorative cardstock. Tuck a bag of your mom’s favorite tea inside and give this 3D teacup card to her while it’s still hot!

Light Up Her Life

Have a Crafty Morning creating this bright and cheerful Mother’s Day card. Use blue cardstock, yellow finger paint, and your fingerprints to design a made-with-love memento for her desk or on the fridge! Add a bow on top for an extra bit of happiness.

Make Her Feel Warm & Fuzzy

Moms hold everything together, just like glue! Craft up some adorable 3D Mother’s Day cards with poms and wiggly eyes. Create penguin, chick-a-dee, and flamingo families to wish your loved ones a warm and fuzzy Mother’s Day.

Queen of the Day

Treat her like a queen and show her how much she means! Spell out your love with glitter foam letters and embellish a 3D foam crown to feature on the front. The Queen of the Day deserves a card as special as she is.
