Milk Carton Bird Feeder

Recycle a milk carton to create a colorful bird feeder! Most birds are naturally attracted to the color red, so you may need to refill your feeder often!
Materials
- EZ Grip Paint Brushes, 5 pack
- Natural Braiding Cord
- Acrylic Paint Jars, 24 Assorted colors
- Craft Sticks 150 Pack
- Large Milk Carton
- Scissors
- Hot Glue Gun ***May Require Adult Assistance
- Ruler
- Pen
- Hole Punch
Instructions
Step 1. Gather your supplies. | |
Step 2. Paint a large milk carton with Simply Spray® Project Paint Red all until it is completely and evenly covered. | |
Step 3. Cut out rectangles from every side of the milk carton with the following measurements: 1 ½” from the bottom 1” from the top ½” from both sides | |
Step 4. Paint 20 craft sticks blue. | |
Step 5. Hot glue 10 craft sticks to each side of the top of the milk carton to create a roof, as shown. Tip: Push the spout down so it no longer sticks out. | |
Step 6. Hole punch a hole 1” from the bottom on two sides across from each other. On the two remaining sides, hole punch holes ½” from the bottom of the carton. Insert round dowels through the holes, as shown. | |
Step 7. Thread a 12” piece of black cording under one side of craft sticks and tie in a knot. |
