Paint a blank canvas any color you choose!

Print the downloadable template, above, and trace the outline of your kangaroo onto your painted canvas — don’t worry, your paint will cover up the lines!

Paint in your kangaroo’s body using a thick brush and golden-brown paint.

Using a thinner brush and a darker color brown, paint the outline of your kangaroo and add details!

Outline your kangaroo’s feet with an even darker brown — mix a bit of black paint into your brown to create your ideal color. Then, glue on your big wiggly eyes before painting your kangaroo’s eyebrows, nose, and mouth!

Sketch a rough outline of your baby kangaroo — the joey! — on a brown foam sheet.

Glue on 2 small wiggly eyes, then, use a black marker to color in the details!

Cut out a half-circle out of brown foam — make sure it isn’t too small! You’ll want your pouch to be large enough so your joey can fit inside!

Place 2 dots of glue on either edge of your pouch, and 1 dot of glue on the bottom center. Then, gently stick the glued edges onto your mommy kangaroo — making sure to leave the top open.
