  • Waddle On the Wild Side: Penguins live on South American shores and the icy regions of Antarctica. Emperor, Humboldt, and Adelie penguins have different characteristics to protect them from their environments. What kind of penguins do your students like?
  • Snow-one Like You: Did you know that penguins mate for life? Once they pick a partner, they’ll continue laying eggs with one another every season. Encourage your students to give their fuzzy stick penguins to someone special and spread the love.

A group of penguins in water is called a raft, but on land, they’re called a waddle! They huddle together to stay warm, especially when they have babies — both males and females play big parts in keeping the babies warm. Follow an Emperor penguin’s journey through the first few months of a newborn penguin’s life to discover how cool they are!
