Wakey, wakey, eggs & bakey! It’s time to read and rhyme with the letter ‘E!’

  • Egg-cellent Vowels: The letter ‘E’ can have a short or long sound — or even stay silent. Sing along to learn how adding an ‘E’ to the end of some words changes the sound of other vowels too.
  • Green Eggs & Ham: Gather inspiration for your eggs & bacon craft by reading the popular Dr. Seuss book with your class. Then, trade the yellow poms or foam balls and the red foam strips for green to create a plate of green eggs & ham!

Green Eggs and Ham is a quirky rhyming story that holds a strong message. It raises the question of beliefs, judgment, and reasoning. Discuss the things your students like and dislike — whether its foods, colors, or even school subjects. Why do they like or dislike those certain things? Are there things they’re willing to try again to change their mind?
