Bite into this ‘Z’ clothespin craft with a side of grammar and zombie games

  • Sleepy Zombie: The phrase ‘Zzzz’ describes sleeping — when a word is associated with the type of sound it describes, this is called an onomatopoeia! As a class, come up with some others, like pow, buzz, and meow!
  • Finger Food: Crafting this hungry zombie is a great way to strengthen fine motor skills to help with writing and typing activities in the future!

Once your students finish crafting, take them outside or into the gym for some fun zombie exercise! Ask for a few volunteers to become zombies, then have them carefully chase the other students around in a game of tag! Once everyone becomes a zombie, restart the game!
