Cardinal Christmas Tree Ornament

Use jingle bells to create cute cardinals and place them in a wood stick Christmas tree!
Materials
- 25 Pack Assorted Paint Brushes
- Friendship Thread Basic Colors
- Glitter Fuzzy Sticks
- Acrylic Paint Jars, 24 Assorted colors
- Adhesive Wiggly Eyes
- Skinny Sticks
- Scissors
- Craft Glue
- Hot Glue Gun ***May Require Adult Assistance
Instructions
Step 1. Gather your supplies.

| Step 2.
Cut ¼” off of (1) skinny stick. Save the left over ¼” for top of tree. Then cut (1) skinny stick in half and 1” off of other half of skinny stick. |

| Step 3.
Paint (2) full skinny sticks and the pieces from Step 2. We mixed green, turquoise and a little black paint to create a darker green color. |

| Step 4.
Place (1) full skinny stick vertically on the table. Glue the skinny sticks in descending order from top to bottom, leaving space at the top for a star and about an inch on the bottom. |

| Step 5.
Glue an acrylic star jewel to the top of the tree. Set tree aside. |

| Step 6.
Using a hot glue gun, glue together two red jingle bells. |

| Step 7.
Cut a red glitter stick in half and wrap one half around the middle of the jingle bells from Step 6. Loop each side into the middle as shown. |

| Step 8.
Tuck the left over glitter stick into the middle of the jingle bells and fold down, so they look like wings. |

| Step 9.
Cut a small piece of gold glitter stick and fold it in half. This will be the beak of the cardinal. |

| Step 10.
Glue the gold glitter stick to the head of the cardinal. Add wiggly eyes. |

| Step 11.
Create a second cardinal, repeating Steps 6-10. Glue the cardinals to the tree. |

| Step 12.
Cut a 2” piece of red friendship thread, loop it and glue it to the top of the back of the tree as shown.
