Instructions

Step 1. Gather your supplies.

Step 2.

Paint each Easter egg a bright base color. We chose turquoise, pink and yellow! Set aside to dry.

Step 3.

While your eggs are drying, let’s begin weaving our fuzzy stick basket! Create a plus sign with (2) white fuzzy sticks. Twist the middles together to connect them.

Step 4.

Add two more white fuzzy sticks and half of a fuzzy stick to create (9) separate parts.

Tip: You can add/subtract as many fuzzy sticks as you’d like, but you must have an odd number or the weaving won’t work.

Step 5.

Wrap the end of a light pink fuzzy stick around the middle of the white fuzzy sticks.

Step 6.

Began weaving by going over, under, over, under, etc. the white fuzzy sticks. When you run out of fuzzy stick, simply twist the end of another fuzzy stick with the one you just weaved.

Step 7.

Continue weaving until you are at your desired height. Cut the excess white fuzzy sticks in half.

Step 8.

Fold over the white fuzzy sticks to the inside of the basket to secure the pink fuzzy sticks.

Step 9.

Slip a blue fuzzy stick through each side of the top row of the basket.

Step 10.

Wrap the ends of the blue fuzzy stick around the top of the basket one time to secure and cut off the excess.

Step 11.

Once the eggs are dry, glue (1) large button to the bottom of the foam egg to make it stand.

Step 12.

Cover the egg in medium and small buttons until it is completely covered. Repeat for all foam eggs.
