Instructions
Step 1. Gather your supplies.
Step 2. Cut white Braiding Cord to 60 inches in length. Stiffen both ends by rolling it between your finger with a dab of craft glue. Allow glue to dry. This will help when threading the beads.
Step 3. Create a lark knot on the key ring. To learn how to create a lark knot, click here.
Step 4. To create Row 1, thread (3) pink Pony Beads onto the left hand string. Note: this project can be made both with the Made By Me Bead Pets kit or by buying individual Pony Beads in the colors listed.
Step 5. Take your right hand string and thread back through beads from the other end, from right to left.
Step 6. Pull cords tight to form this row of your Bunny Bead Pet.
Step 7. To create the ears, thread (5) pink beads through the left hand string as shown.
Step 8. Take the end of the same left hand string and thread it back through the 2nd pink bead from the right, as shown, going from right to left.
Step 9. Thread (2) pink beads on this same left hand string.
Step 10. Thread this same left hand string back through the very 1st pink bead that was threaded as part of step 7.
Step 11. Pull the cords tight to form the bunny ear that is shown.
Step 12. Repeat steps 7-11 with the same bead pattern and technique for the right hand string. You should now have 2 bunny ears.
Step 13. To create Row 2, thread the following through the left hand string: (1) pink, (2) black and (1) pink bead. The black beads shown here are the Bunny’s eyes. Repeat steps 5 and 6 to create Row 2.
Step 14. To create Row 3, thread the following through the left hand string: (1) pink, (1) white, (1) orange, (1) white, and (1) pink bead. Repeat steps 5 and 6 to complete row. This row creates the bunny’s cheeks and nose.
Step 15. To create Row 4, thread the following through the left hand string: (4) pink beads and repeat steps 5 and 6 to complete row.
Step 16. You will now need to create the Bunny’s arms. Thread the following through the left hand string: (2) pink and (3) white beads. Take the end of the same left hand string and thread it back through the first (2) pink beads.
Step 17. Pull the cord tight to the bunny’s body. Repeat step 16 with the same bead pattern and technique for the right hand string. You should now have 2 arms on your Bunny Bead Pet.
Step 18. To create Row 5, thread the following through the left hand string: (2) pink, (1) white and (2) pink beads and repeat steps 5 and 6 to complete row.
Step 19. To create Row 6, thread the following through the left hand string: (2) pink, (2) white and (2) pink beads and repeat steps 5 and 6 to complete row. Repeat this pattern to also create Row 7.
Step 20. To create Row 8, thread the following through the left hand string: (2) pink, (1) white, (2) pink beads and repeat steps 5 and 6 to complete row.

Step 22. To create the bunny’s legs, first string (7) pink pony beads through the left hand string.
Step 23. Take the same left hand string and thread it through the first (2) beads threaded from the right to the left as shown.
Step 24. Thread this thread through Row 9 from left to right, to use for tying at a later step.
Step 25. Repeat steps 22-23 to create the other bunny’s legs, making through to thread the remaining thread through row 9 going from right to left.
Step 26. Tie the end of the cord to the ends of Row 9. Tie a double knot then trim excess cord. |
