| Step 2.
Inflate a balloon. Tip: you don’t need to blow it up too large, a little larger than your hand will work fine. Tie the end in a knot. |

| Step 3.
Begin covering the middle of the balloon with craft glue. Tip: use a foam brush, it will be easier to spread the glue. |

| Step 4.
Pick the 1st color Friendship Thread you want to use. Press the thread into the glue, and wrap the Thread around the balloon until you have used up all of the thread. |

Once you have used all the Thread, spread more glue on top of the Thread. |

Repeats Steps 2-5 with more colors. You want to overlap some of the Thread colors and cover the bottom of the balloon as shown. Tip: The more Thread you use the stronger the sculpture will be when it’s done. |

| Step 7.
Let the glue dry for several hours or overnight. |

| Step 8.
When the glue is dry, gently snip the top of the balloon (near the knot) with the scissors. This will allow the air to come out of the balloon very slowly. |

| Step 9.
Once the balloon has been deflated, the Thread will hold it’s shape. You might have to press gently on the sculpture to adjust the shape. Remove the balloon and throw away. |

| Step 10.
Your sculpture will look like a bowl if you only covered the balloon halfway, like we did. You can make another sculpture by covering the whole balloon for a completely different look. |
