Heart Tissue Paper Sun Catchers
Dress up all areas of your home to celebrate Valentine's Day, including your windows! Use Skinny Craft Sticks to form a heart, then cover in tissue paper. The see-through qualities of the tissue paper will allow the light to pass through to make a beautiful sun catcher!
Step 1. Gather your supplies.

Step 2. Using the heavy duty scissors, have an adult cut one Skinny Stick in half.
|
Step 3. Glue (2) Skinny Sticks together in a "V" shape, as shown. |
Step 4. Glue a half piece and whole Skinny Stick to the top of the left side of the "V" shape as shown.
Step 5. Repeat step 4 on the right side to complete your heart, as shown.
Step 6. Paint the heart and let dry.
Step 7. Use a Red Glitter Stick as a hanger for your sun catcher. Add Pony Beads for some added interest!
Step 8. Place your heart with the painted side down on a piece of wax paper. Pour craft glue onto a paper plate and apply to the backside of the heart frame using a foam brush.
Step 9. Lay a strip of tissue paper onto the frame and apply glue on top.
Step 10. Continue to cover the frame with strips of tissue paper in different colors. Once complete, flip the frame over and apply more glue on top to secure. Tip: If the tissue paper rips, don’t panic! You can always add more layers of tissue paper on top of cover any rips.
Step 11. Allow the sun catcher to dry completely before hanging.
