Learn how to create a pencil or sunglasses holder using a Weaving Loom and craft loops.

Materials
Instructions

Step 1. Gather your supplies.

Step 2.

Create 1 potholder using the weaving loom. Click here to learn how.

Step 3.

Take one craft loop and cut it open so it makes one long string.

Step 4.

Fold the potholder in half, as shown.

Step 5.

You will use the cut loop to secure the potholder closed. Use this cut loop by weaving between 2 crocheted edges, starting at the corner of the folded potholder, the one without the open loop, as shown. Tie a knot to secure.

Step 6.

Thread the cut loop along the 2 open sides (one short and one long side), weaving between the crocheted edges to pull it together.

Step 7.

You should have enough of the cut loop to weave the 2 sides of the folded potholder. Leave the last side open. This will become the pocket to hold your pencils.

Step 8.

To finish the pencil holder, tie the cut loop to one of the crocheted edges. Do your best to hide the knot, by tucking it inside the pencil holder.
